United Way offers FREE income tax filings for qualified Bartholomew County residents each year through the VITA Volunteer Tax Assistance programs.
The program offers free tax filings to Bartholomew County residents who make $66,000 or less. IRS-certified volunteers provide confidential and secure basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.
Free Income Tax Assistance appointments will be conducted from late January through mid-April. All appointments are held at the Doug Otto United Way Center. Appointments are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Call (812) 375-2216, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
