Human Services, Inc., in partnership with the City of Columbus and local banks and credit unions, announces the June 4 launch of Bank On Columbus!

Bank On Columbus is a program for persons who might think they do not have enough money to open a checking account or who have had an account in the past and had some problems managing it or who may think they do not have the proper identification to open an account.  Bank On Columbus provides persons with an opportunity to open a free or low-cost checking account for the first time or be given a “second chance” account. 

Opening a checking account is the first step to financial stability.  A checking account through Bank On Columbus allows people to save the money now being spent on check cashing services, pay day loans, and rent to own services.
